| | IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Moving the Site « Thread Started on Sept 3, 2004, 8:35pm » | |
Hi everyone,
I have some bad news to report. Due to technical problems I've had in transferring administrative privileges over to those who originally started this group, the site will have to be moved to a new URL. Everything about the site will be pretty much the same as it is here so it should be a fairly easy transition. One of the worst parts will be that everyone will have to register again, but you can use your same username, and even copy and paste your profile information if you want.
The current board will continue to remain open for viewing, so that everyone can look at and read old posts, but at the end of next week, it will be closed for posting, and there will be a link to the new address on the front page so that posting can continue at the new location. I wish I could transfer threads from the old site to the new one, but ProBoards says there's no way that this can be done other than copying and pasting individual posts.
I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this will cause a lot of you. When I first signed up for the ProBoards service, and when I invited the AM online preparation group to move here, I was under the impression (due to features that seemed to be available in my admin area on the forum) that it was possible to transfer administrative privileges to other people. I recently found out that this was only partially true. Since it seems that I will no longer be able to give this forum the time and attention that is necessary to be its administrator, I must transfer administrative privileges, and unfortunately that means moving the forum without the ability to transfer all of its contents at once.
Here's the link to the new site: http://animationgroup.proboards30.com/
Thanks everyone, especially Jeroen and Alexandre for helping to make this site a success, and I hope that it will continue to be successful at its new location.
